The Sanctuary is located at Spiazzi in one of the most picturesque locations in Upper Italy. It stands clinging to the rock of the surrounding mountains, 774 metres above sea level, overlooking the Adige Valley.
Today, the sanctuary can also be reached via an asphalted road that starts near the village of Spiazzi and ends with a tunnel, dug into the rock in 1922. Reaching the sanctuary is a sometimes tough experience, but rewarded by the splendour of the place.
