This is a natural terrace on the ridge of Mount Mottolone, which can also be reached by car along the narrow, steep driveway connecting Arquà Petrarca with Faedo. The vantage point extends over a large dirt esplanade from which one can admire the peaks of the Euganean Hills.
Many hiking trails lead to the Pianoro, climbing the slopes of Mount Ventolone or nearby Mount Fasolo, so it is recommended to reach it on foot or by mountain bike.
